Cameron Hulkkonen

 Bio

Coach Cameron Hulkkonen grew up in Houghton, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula, where toughness, discipline, and hard work are a way of life. He played outside linebacker and defensive end in high school, developing a physical, aggressive style of play built on effort and accountability.

He continued his football career at Finlandia University, competing at the collegiate level as an outside linebacker and defensive end. His time in college football sharpened his understanding of defensive schemes, gap responsibility, and linebacker leadership.

Beyond football, Coach Hulkkonen served in the United States Army as an Infantryman. His military experience instilled elite discipline, resilience under pressure, and a team-first mentality qualities he now brings directly to his players.

Coach Hulkkonen believes linebackers set the tone for the defense. His coaching philosophy emphasizes physicality, football IQ, relentless pursuit, and mental toughness. He is passionate about developing young men not only as athletes, but as disciplined leaders on and off the field.
